On Tuesday 2nd April, Dungog High School students had the opportunity to engage with key members of Dungog Shire Council, including Mayor Tracy Norman, to discuss the facilities and future of Dungog. After watching a presentation by Moir Landscape Architects, students formed small teams to give feedback and present their ideas for what they believe Dungog community needs.
As you can see from these photos, our students were highly engaged in planning for our community, and were great advocates for the youth of our area. The level of enthusiasm for this project was commendable, as referenced by Dungog Shire Council in an email to Ms McIntosh:
"The 29 students that turned up provided such a rich source of information and their willingness to engage was terrific. They were insightful, articulate, polite and a real credit to Dungog High School. It was such a generous engagement and I would really like to thank all the students who attended."
Well done to all involved, you are an asset to the school and community.
