Week 6 Term 3 - Tuesday 27th August
- Try a High School Day (9.20am - 2.30pm) - The day is designed as an introduction to the high school environment. Students will participate in a number of learning activities to help them become familiar with Dungog High School. There will be movement-based activities, as well as a Q&A forum where students can get all their questions about high school answered.
- Please complete a parent permission note prior to the day.
Week 9 Term 3 - Friday 20th September
- Inclusion and Support Faculty open day. Parent and carers are invited to attend.
Week 2 Term 4 - Tuesday 22nd October
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander student transition day
- Parent Orientation evening provides an opportunity for parents and carers to find out what to expect upon commencement in Year 7 at Dungog High School.
Week 4 Term 4 - Tuesday 4th November
- Jump Start Day 1 (half day) - a transition program for students who require extra support when transitioning to high school. The program focuses on school routines, daily organisation, and support systems in the school. This program allows students to familiarise themselves with Dungog High School staff, Peer Support students and support staff such as their Year Adviser, Student Support Officer, Learning and Support Teachers, Deputy Principals and our Head Teacher of Wellbeing. Students can only be nominated by their primary school teacher for participation in this program.

Week 8 Term 4 - Tuesday 3rd December
- Year 7 2025 Orientation Day. Orientation Day gets students ready for day one of Year 7. They will meet teachers, learn to navigate around the school, receive a student handbook and find out what to expect in the first few weeks of high school.
