Technology

Dungog High School recognises the importance of equipping students with the technology skills they need to be sucessful in the future.

The facilities in our library have recently been upgraded to provide a future-focused learning environment integrating advanced technology and encouraging a high level of student collaboration and creativity.  Students working in the library have access to a bank of 90 laptops which can be used in any of the 5 learning areas.

Three dedicated computer labs are situated across the school where students have access to a wide variety of software on desktop computers.  Classes also have access to our Computers on Wheels (COW), a portable unit containing 30 laptops which can be used anywhere in the school.

Dungog High School is currently involved in a University of Newcastle study looking at the impact of using Virtual Reality (VR) in education and the school is equipped with 2 Oculus Rift VR sets.

Curricular and extra-curricular programs also make use of a range of robotics and micro processing technologies which promote coding and egineering skills.
